Agency Overview

Established in 2000 by Congress, the Delta Regional Authority makes strategic investments of federal appropriations into projects that will improve regional economic opportunity by helping create jobs, build communities, and improve the lives of the 10 million people who reside in the 252 counties and parishes of the eight-state region. The Delta Regional Authority provides investment for basic public infrastructure, transportation infrastructure, business development, and workforce development.

Program Overview

The Community Infrastructure Fund was created to target physical infrastructure projects that help build safer, more resilient communities in the Delta region. The three areas of investment through this program target basic public infrastructure, transportation infrastructure, and flood control project centered around economic development.
