The state of Illinois offers Illinois Century Network (ICN), which is the state broadband network the IL Department of Innovation and Technology operates and manages. ICN provides broadband and Internet connectivity to all state agency locations and a number of community anchor institutions, including K-12 schools, libraries, higher education, research institutions, museums, and municipalities. The state also established its Connect Illinois Broadband Grant Program during the 2019 legislative session.
